We have started several initiatives/activities to achieve the goal of reunion of all alumni into a single network. Some of our current initiatives and achievements are:

• Registered as a non-profit organization with the State of California with objective to promote IISc, research, and rural educational help. In nutshell, give back to community, give back to India.

• Filed 510 (C) 3 status for tax emption.

• Registered three domains - iiscaana.org, iiscaa.org, and iiscalumni.org. iiscaa.org and iiscalumni.org are placeholders for future extensions.

• Dynamic website with complete alumni details is in process.

• Creation of new chapters within North America.

• Working on IISc Global Conference – 2007 as pre-centenary celebration in Silicon Valley.

• Chapters conduct annual get-together of alumni on IISc Founders Day, the March 3 every year.

• Monthly group meetings.

• Monthly dinner socials.

• Occasional outdoor camping, like our popular trip to Yosemite last summer.
