OUR TEAM ::

Professor Satish Nagarajaiah (Chair, IISc South Central Chapter) Professor of Civil Eng. and Professor of Mechanical Eng. at Rice University.  He earned his M. E. in Civil Eng. (Structures/Mechanics) from IISc in 1982. He was an engineer in Tata Consultants (82-86). He earned his Ph.D. (87-90) in Vibration Control from SUNY at Buffalo, where he continued as a post-doc (90-93), and since then has been a professor. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of Vibrations, Dynamic Systems and Control, Smart Structures and Sensors, System Identification, Structural Health Monitoring, and Nanotechnology. His research is currently funded by National Science Foundation and by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, other federal and state agencies, and private companies (for further details about his research visit http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~nagaraja/).

Professor B V V Prasad Professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.  He earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from IISc under the direction of Professor P.
