Dr. P. Balaram (Director IISc, Bangalore)
Prof. P. Balaram graduated in Chemistry form Pune University, Pune (1967), and he joined the IIT, Kanpur for his Masters in Chemistry (1969). He did his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh (1972) and underwent Post-Doctoral training at the Department of Chemistry in Harvard University, U.S.A. He joined IISc in 1973 and currently is the Director, IISc.
Dr. N. Balakrishnan (Associate Director IISc, Bangalore)
Prof. Balakrishnan received PhD in Engineering from the Department Of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, in the area of Antenna Arrays. He is currently Associate Director and has held various positions including Chairman, SERC, and Professor, Prof. Satish Dhawan Chair Professor, JNC (Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research), NIAS (National Institute for Advanced Studies). Among his many other honors, in 2002, Prof. Balakrishnan was recognized with the Padma Shri award by President of India.
Dr. S. Mohan (Chair, Alumni Cell IISc, Bangalore)
Dr. Mohan received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from S.V. University, Tirupati. He taught at S.V. University from 1970 to 1977. He joined Instrumentation & Service Unit, IISc in 1977. He served in several key positions including Chief Executive of SID (Industrial Arm of IISc). He has been instrumental in building IISc AANA. He is currently Professor at the Instrumentation department and Chair, IISc Alumni Cell.
Dr. Murali Ghantasala (Chair IISc AANA Midwest Chapter)
Muralidhar Ghantasala joined IISc in 1985 and received his M.Sc.(Engg.) and Ph.D. from IISc. He was awarded Martin J. Forster Gold Medal for Best PhD Thesis in the Division of Physical & Mathematical Sciences in 1993. He worked in various positions at RMIT University and Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia from 1994 to 2003. He is currently an Associate Professor at Western Michigan University in the department of Mechanical and Aeronautical engineering.
Dr. Dattaguuru (Chair IISc AA, Bangalore)
Prof Dattaguru received his B.E. (E.E) in 1962, M.E. (Aero) in 1964 and Ph.D. in 1973 from IISc. He is a pioneer in Aerospace engineering and has been associated with several professional organizations including the Indian National Academy of Engineering, Mission Advisory Committee, Advanced composites Mission, DST, New Delhi. He was awarded the Padma Shri by President of India for his contribution and achievements in Aerospace Engineering. Currently, he is President Elect, IISc AA.
