IISc Alumni Association, Bangalore Chapter inaugurated by Dr. R. Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India
IISc AA Bangalore chapter is officially formed and will be inaugurated by Dr. R. Chidambaram (Principal Scientific Adviser to President of India), Dr. P. Balram (Director IISc) on February 17, 2007.

The press meet was held on February 13, 2007 and was addressed by Dr N. Balakrishnan, Associate Director of IISc.
The Chapter inauguration function was held on February 17, 2007 in the faculty hall of IISc main building and the festivities began at 9 AM with breakfast. The main function is at 10 AM and the event ended at 11:45 AM.

IISc has Mega Centenary Plans - 2008
IISc is completing 100 years in 2008 and has mega centenary plans. IISc planned a mass alumni outreach for the centenary functions and created new dynamic Alumni Cell which will act as a single contact bridge between IISc and Alumni.

IISc AANA has planned a grand gala conference “Global IISc Conference – 2007 (in partnership with University of California) as pre-centenary celebration.
